For Jim

Browsing the paper one sunny day,
The Budget's a mess, no jobs any where
I then glanced at section, I knew nothing
would change, just the usual things.
Old people were dying, well that's just life,
Than a name hit me, I couldn't believe
the name was right.
For a man that had once been my boss,
my friend, and so much more, I couldn't
believe he had gone to the Lord.
Jim, we had lunch last week, just the four of us.
You were in good spirits, how could we
know, the pain you were in, or how soon you would go.
That was your way, to listen, never complain
Just gave us your wisdom in your fatherly
way.
Your earthly life has come to an end.
We'll always remember and love you.
Rest in peace my beloved friend.
In memory of James Gillespie, 1932-2011

I can sense how heavy your heart is and I grieve with you. It is always a sad time when a life reaches the end, but into the home of Jesus he will live and watch over you. Our prayers for you...

Be always safe,
Karen

Sorry to hear of the loss of your friend .... even at his age it was a surprise ... a reminder not so gentle that we should never take anything for granted ... even a chance to visit with a friend for something as simple as lunch.
