I see wind blowing dark hair
a vista for all to stare
I picture bright eyes looking at me
you looked so beautifully

I see wind blowing dark hair
go on, touch me you dare
I picture bright eyes looking at me
can I do ought but agree?

I see wind blowing dark hair
realising how much I did care
I picture bright eyes looking at me
I gazed back so lovingly

I see wind blowing dark hair
thought we were a lifelong pair
I picture bright eyes looking at me
deep in love, just hopelessly

I see wind blowing dark hair
No! my life now laid bare
I picture bright eyes looking at me
no longer live happily

I see wind blowing dark hair
remembering when you were there
I picture bright eyes looking at me
joyful times now history

Touched the depths of my soul, made me cry, David. Raw emotions so gently exposed, a beautiful bittersweet write.

This is called soul poetry. David, you nail emotions here. The twist ending leaves one numb. VERY good work! I always enjoy reading an English man!

Thanks,
Emilie
