An ogre lived under a bridge,
it was a fearful sight.
Its long claws filed razor sharp,
its eyes shined red and bright.

Gladly would it make a snack,
of all who came along.
It would leap out with a roar,
and with a chomp they were gone.

A knight soon came by,
in armor shining bright.
He was going to slay the ogre,
in an epic of a fight.

The ogre caught him unawares,
(some say purely by chance).
It feasted on knight fricasse,
and picked its teeth with the lance.

Later came upon a horse of white,
a certain prince named Charming.
The ogre was upon him in a flash,
his demise was quite alarming.

Near sunset then came a mime,
within his invisable box.
The ogre charged with a roar,
and stopped in total shock.

It snarled as it turned away,
and said "What a waste.
From all I've heard and all I've read,
a mime is a terrible thing to taste."
