Your fiery tongue can ooze through the most minute
cracks, and ignite a gas-filled room.

My feelings are charred and burned, my heart cold and raw.
Nothing is held back as you spew your rusty allegations.

Don’t come to me and try to sandpaper the rough spots that
You have caused. You will not prime me with satiny words
For a smooth finish. No, not this time.

Although the end result may be glossy, the varnish that you
use stinks!

Ot must really hurt! Use sand paper first and then the varnish. Scrape and buff it and then boil it or whatever you need to do to sanatize it. You have my heart with you Marilyn. Emotions ... emotions ... raw ... hurting emotions. Who caused you this pain.

River of Memories: An Appalachian Boyhood by David Thompson

For a time, I perched myself on a flat rock, comparing my life with the Guyandotte River. Just as its tributaries replenish it daily, changing it in some small—sometimes great—degree, so have the day-to-day occurrences of life changed me. Like the ri
