Moonlight trails through an open window by the sea.
Starlight glows just for you and me.
The ocean waves slip towards the open arms of the shore…
Exactly as they have done so many times before.
Fairy lights appear in the deepest part of the lawn.
Shimmering lights that goes off then goes on.
Crickets and bullfrogs play a midnight concerto,
as the “Katydid’s” provide a musical kind of crescendo.
Sounds reverberate throughout this special place.
My happiness shows clearly upon my face.
Ethereal experiences that defy explanation….
give me a kind of spiritual rejuvenation.
My childhood returns with an old kind of rapture.
I stretch out my inner child after the fireflies I am trying to capture.
Dragonflies become real dragons once more.
My knight is here and I am his to adore.
Trailing chiffon flows from my gown.
Shifting sparkles of magic shimmer all around.
Flowers bloom instantly for him to pick a bouquet of them for me.
A bed of thorn less roses beckons us to come and see.
A cobblestone pathway spreads magically on the ground.
The night is filled with song and love is all around.
Fireflies light up for us and their light mingles with the Moon’s.
Elves and fairy folk, alike, gather to sing happy tunes.
All too soon, the moon is setting, the sun will soon be above.
We will meet again and do this on another night, my love.
Just remember throughout the day and through the nighttimes too….
whether we are near or far apart, I always will be loving you
