Softly blowing, the breeze floats by.
It touches the flowers and makes them sigh.
Bees buzz as the zephyr helps them along.
Underneath a blossom, a fairy sings a morning song.

She sets her gossamer wings to flight.
Leaving the others to wake up right.
Alone in the dewy morning, she flies down the path
to find a morning glory in which to take her bath.

Humming softly, she washes herself and puts on her gown.
It's shimmery and bright, without a hint of black or brown.
She trills a silvery laugh as she floats on the winds.
Soon she is joined by several of her friends.

Dandelion seeds, with their white fluffy tufts, float around.
A lacey "Queen Anne's Lace" flower throws shadows on the ground.
A ladybug, bright red with her dainty little spots, wings by
and our fairy hitches a ride and they take a joy ride up in the sky.

The warm air sends a message that summer is here.
Enjoy it, for soon fall will be near.
Go outside and catch a firefly in your hand…
then let him go so he can go back to his land.

Fairies, each time they fly, take a different form and shape.
They will look kindly upon you if you let them escape.
Let the summer breeze drift and carry you off today.
Don't let summer pass you by…go outside and play.
