For my daughter--A.M.

A Part of Me

You…alone,
welcomed to my home

Me…not knowing
part of me was missing

Your smile
Your words…
Filling a hole
In my heart

Then
You…apart from me
Now…
You…a part of me

You have so simply, yet, extraordinarily explained how a parent reflects on their child. You are a master/mistress of word and thought.

God bless you. Kathy

As the others have said, this is touching, Cryssa, but I also enjoy the mystery of the thought that we don't know something is missing until its space in our life is fulfilled....Jerry

Oh how reverently loving, a mother and child, there is no love like it is there? Sweet words to share as they leave the nest...
