The Essence

 

To be loved

as you love,

To be cherished

as you are,

To be held

in as high esteem

as you are

 

To forgive,

To be forgiven

immediately--

Already knowing

mistakes are made,

and are just that…

mistakes

 

To be happy

to breathe

the same air:

Giving off--

--Taking in,

Sharing…

everything

 

To be loved…

Wholly,

Mutually,

Unconditionally,

Completely--

Without

End

 

Equality of feelings,

Sharing,

Charity,

Forgiveness,

Loyalty and love…

Lifting,

Being raised

 

To be

what you desire

others to be

for you--

This:

the true essence

of friendship

Forgiving and love many times don't go together, sometimes we don't feel for one or for the other, until a delicate hand writes "The Essence" and we stop and think, maybe if.......
