The car - a sardine can with wheels Racing up, down and around Train tracks on mountain slopes Six vacationing fish All oiled up for the occasion Anxiously peer through windows Dreaming of a can opener A steering wheel confused On the wrong side of the car Turns back and forth At the force of the drive
They ride All anxiously quiet Being in a first time place Then… A wooden bridge ahead The noisy wheels rumbling Loudly over the planks. Seemingly rehearsed just for this moment A goat and her young appear Crossing the wooden bridge The mama goat glares At the noisy touring sardines Baaaaa – she scolds… A peculiar moment of silence follows… And then, a burst of hysterical laughter The six sardines liberate gut-wrenching guffaws With tears flowing… laughing At what, they weren’t quite sure…
But they are later to recognize That life’s most enjoyable times Have nothing to do with places or things But have everything to do with Who you spend that time with While taking pleasure In the simplest of things… All is well with the world… And the only affirmation, is laughter! Rumble, rumble, rumble… Baaaaaaaaaaa

BUT WHO COULD HAVE GUESSED THAT THE APPEARANCE OF A GOAT AND HER YOUNG CROSSING A WOODEN BRIDGE WOULD HAVE PROVOKED THIS MARVELOUS BALM...SO NEEDED AND ENJOYED AMONG FRIENDS.
