Don’t Want it, Don’t Like It!

Oh, come on and face it. You don't like it either!

Don’t Want it, Don’t Like It!

I don’t like getting old with all the wrinkles and kinks,

Everyday something new fails to function, this really stinks.

I don’t want to get crabby, snap and get sad,

But the way I’m falling apart would make anyone mad.

Where are those days that I hopped out of bed?

To get my day started without so much dread?

I used to look forward to every blue sky,

But with all the new changes I just want to lie.

I can’t remember things as good and I should,

And I can’t find my keys now when last year I could.

I write things down, then lose the pad.

I’m getting forgetful, which really is sad.

When did the two chins come on this old face?

And how can I get them completely erased?

When did my beautiful brown hair turn so white?

I suddenly woke up to a terrible fright.

Are these the “Golden Years” people were talking about?

When your belly gets pudgy and your teeth fall out?

I use to look forward to my retirement days,

But now I don’t want it, hopefully, this is a faze.

Certainly do recognize the signs and can relate to this wonderful piece. A little more make-up and another bottle of hair color and each time something new must be added to the neverending list.....

Be always safe,
Karen

You're a hoot! I sure can identify with this! Thank God, thank God, there's a better day coming, with a new body...I need it more every day!

Love,
Connie
