Rub a Dub Dub!
I went to visit a dear old friend to see her new home.
When our husbands left we were finally alone.
“You seem so stressed,” my friend said to me.
And I truly was, but how could she see?
“That’s it," she said, "I’m gonna pamper you!"
Get down on the floor and take off your shoes.
She got out her lotions, oils and stuff,
Starting massaging my back, at times getting rough.
But it felt so good every knot being release,
She found every one of those tight little beasts.
Oh, it felt good in spite of the pain,
You’d swear she was a therapist and highly trained.
When she was finished, I laid feeling content.
Oh, I’m not finished yet, she said while still bent.
She went to the bathroom and filled the tub,
Putting in bubbles and getting out mud.
“What is she doing?” I thought she’s gone mad.
She’s spoiling me rotten, but deep down was glad.
She got out the candles and told me, “get in.”
I did as I was told, as she poured me some gin.
I lay in the tub feeling pampered and prized.
The candles were flickering in front of my eyes.
I didn’t understand them as they flickered so bright,
Until she left the room and turned out the light.
Written for Abby, who spoiled me rotten. I love you Abby.
