Not Ready to Say Goodbye 
 

Oh Billy, you’ve lifted my spirit, my soul and heart
You’re messages go to my very core and they have right from the start.
The first time I saw you, it was your eyes that drew me near.
Through your eyes to the eyes of God, and it took away my fear.

In all the years I've listened, you never let me down.
I know when you get to heaven, God will hand you your own crown.
There never was a hint of scandal, that ever touched your life,
Through all your trials and tribulations, you handled all the strife.

When all the other evangelist were falling in despair.
You took the higher road and remembered them in prayer.
This earth is such a better place, to have someone like you,
For you have been a Heavenly leader, for God was with you too.

I know you're getting closer to going home with God,
And you’re missing all your loved ones, who are also up above.
But I’m not ready yet, to say goodbye to you,
For you are such a Godly man, among the very few.

You’ve touched our lives with blessings just for being here.
You led us closer to our God and did it without fear.
How then, can we be happy when you leave all us behind?
With you not here to guide us and give us peace of mind.

No, I am not ready yet, to say goodbye to you, but if God takes you home.
I'll ask for strength and guidance and the courage to stand alone.
When you go, please lead the way for everyone of us left behind.
For we will follow shortly after you and true salvation we will find.
