Oh my, who else worries about this.

Poem Artwork

Much More Than My Tums!

I don’t want to worry about money or paying bills.
It gives me the fits and spine tingling chills.
I just want to know its there when I write a check.
All this worrying about bills is a pain in the neck.

I’m not asking for such an absorbent sum.
For I know that is very dim-witted and dumb.
I just want enough for the electric and such.
With a little left over, doesn’t have to be much.

With the gas prices high and the food soaring too.
There’s nothing left over, and I haven’t a clue.
On what to do when the next bill comes.
For its more than I have, much more than my Tums.

Sigh... It is crazy the way prices have gone up! Hoping that this is a temporary problem!

Taliking about price of gasoline...politicians said that we could start using bikes to save money and enviroment, in mountain country? are they nuts? yes, they are when talking from their chaiffered limousines.

Life is getting more difficult these days and one has to cope with it in a more dynamic way. Excellent piece and an eye opener for people who do live in a different life.

How easy it would be to cut the superfluous spending. Get rid of a gas-guzzler. And make each car-trip a multii-purpose one; walking instead of driving to the corner store; pay bills on line, saving on stamps; opening blinds or drapes to let sunshine warm house during day, and closing them to keep house warm at night; turn down the heat and wear warmer clothes, or add another blanket at night; cut down on magazine subs; sell our books we won't read again; cut down on meats and use more veggies...even better...grow our veggies! Save pennies (or quarters, now-a-days) and they'll soon be dollars. And DON'T worry...you'll save the price of tums...LOL
But, oh dear...summer's approaching, and I can't stand the "heat". Will be eating lots of 'tater and veggie soup from May thru October

Sad, isn't it? Price of everything going up, but not the paychecks (can hear Karen Lynn now, HUH, WHAT paycheck? She gets nothing) - the rich get richer and phooey on us!!!!! Have lost just about everything but the roof overhead, electric, phone/Net - no luxeries for us. Food would be one ... anyhoo, didn't mean to unload on you. Hope things get better - for all THREE of us. :( Counting blessings, though, least I have a roof, lights, phone/Net ...

(((HUGS))) and love, Karla. WELL SAID!!

Better believe it! Where else can a person cut? Let's think and come up with some cuts for both of us. Hugs
