When I tore my achilles, I thought I would die too.

Poem Artwork

Achilles was a Wuss

Achilles, the mightiest of the Greeks, who would smite armies of men.
Who was dipped in the river as a child again and again.
They dipped him to make him immortal that no one could kill.
But one place couldn’t be dipped, for he was held by his heel.

He won many battles practically all by himself.
If they gave trophies back then he'd have loads on his shelf.
For he was the strongest man in all of mankind.
He was strong in his soul, body and mind.

Nothing could kill him for it was written.
No Delilah could tame him, he couldn’t be smitten.
How wrong they were, it took one little arrow in the heel,
To bring this mighty man down, it was surreal.

What a wuss he had to be, I tore my Achilles, it didn’t kill me.
I must have taken after Hercules!

Achilles wasn't killed in battle as they want us to believe, yes dear Bonnie, he was a wuss, he died trying to impress a fake blonde with his version of tap dance and...wham! the tendon got wacko.
Your predicament I am very sorry to hear, but then again, who told you to wear 8" italian stilettos on a cobblestone street?
Now, don't write any more about Olympus fairies or Zeus will come down and spank your fanny.

Georg
