I could never give up on Love but if I did...

It Seems Fair!
 
 
I don’t want to love anymore for it hurts too much inside.
It takes away my happiness and damages my pride.
It would be much easier to feel nothing at all.
You would never know heartache or would never fall.
 
What makes our deceiving hearts betray us in this way?
What gives them the right to have all the say?
If they would just keep out of it, you would be just fine.
For you would have some peace and I would keep mine.
 
But no, these hearts betray us by letting someone in,
Letting them destroy us, is how it begins.
The only thing that seems fair, almost from the start.
Is when they hurt and leave you, they rip out that heart.

A good friend, supposedly told me he cannot e-mail me no more, too busy with bill paying and taxes and cleaning out his desk. Oh, well, rejection hurts, but I guess I was too fast paced for that person. He was just a friend I had made, actually a counselor at hospital. I have other things to do anyway and lots of others to e-mail, but your poem says it all. Love, Lois

Ah, but they leave a little piece to grow again, and that piece will always contain fragments of them as well... even if they don't want to admit it...
