That Whopping Storyteller!

Come on kids we’re going to a magnificent school fair,
My oldest son, Jimmy, went to school there.
I baked pies and entered them in a contest for it’s an honor to win.
The school had games setup all over, even in the Gym.

During the bake-off contest, an announcement was being made.
“A little girl said her parents were lost,” my mood went instantly grave.
I looked around for my daughter and no where did I find.
That whopping storyteller, that little girl of mine.

So off we went to the office where they said the child was.
When we stepped into the room, everyone was in a buzz.
“She said her name is Jimmy, and gave us her teachers name too.”
"We knew immediately that this story just could not be true ."

"She said she went to school here and her parents mysteriously disappeared,"
"She knew where she was, but her parents were nowhere near."
"What a fantastic little story your tiny girl could tell"
"She would have gone on forever if it wasn’t for the bell."

"She said her name was Jimmy May who attended Mrs Maxwell’s class."
"We knew without delay it was untrue , for she was a little lass."
"But we enjoyed this child immensely, we kind of egged her on."
"For she had all of us laughing and she created so much fun."

"She went on for the longest time, telling one whopper after another."
"It wasn’t until an hour went by that we even thought of her mother."
"What a joy this child must bring you with her imagination galore."
I gave the lady a timid smile as I disappeared through the floor.

Always found it amazing the stories that children can tell. So was she given an award of sorts for her display of creativity????

Be always safe,

From all the tids and bits of stories you have been giving us, your household most had been a barrel of fun to grow up in.
I really envy your children, tell me do you blush?

She is so cute and thinks ahead and has a good brain on her. Remembering her as a child and seeing her play was an acceptional treat. My heart goes out to Ginny May. Love and hugs to Mother and Daughter too.
