Mountain Man
There’s a man we know quite well and have for many years.
We celebrated many great joys and we shared many tears.
His sense of humor is well known to everyone around.
We couldn’t have found a better friend in this whole entire town.
When he walked in one day he was dressed like a Mountain Man.
He really was authentic because he does own mountain land.
He & my husband, the other Mountain Man, went on a little trip.
They would only be gone a day, no need for me to flip.
They arrived in the mountains but a blizzard came at night
There was no way to get out now, no human was in sight.
They only took enough food for a day, so they pictured a bleak end.
If they could get a call out, what crazy person would they send?
What were the Notorious Mountain Men to do, for they were the best around?
Very few men had their experience, especially the ones in town.
But there was a sheriff in town, who knew both men real well,
He notified the rescue team, exactly where this pair dwell.
It took days to get to them for they were far back in the woods.
They rationed all the food they had and all their earthly goods.
The Mountain Men finally spotted the rescue party getting near.
“Oh, thank God we’re saved, and getting out of here.”
But the razzing and humiliation they took from the entire rescue team.
Made them want to turn around and go back to the mountain stream.
They lost their Mountain Men image that day on the mountain peak.
And every time someone mentions it, they get timid and meek.

Been a few times on a few mountains, although, I don't reccomend to get lost on the Victoria mountains of east Australia.
