I wrote this one night after hearing so many stories of the rediculous greed and insanity taking over corporate America from my husband and friends had me so concerned for our future as a nation on yet another level. When the CEO of a company makes nine million dollars a year and a woman working in same company, struggles to keep food on the table without benefits for doctor visits for her children because same company feels too poor to hire full time and provide those benefits, I get a little scared.

Late yesterday

Or anytime

Recently or tomorrow

We received word of yet

Another corporate

Self annihilation.

Officials say

There are no

New leads on

Who the culprits

May be.

Efforts redouble.

Corporate crash.

Meltdown.

Countdown to

Destruction

Of economy

And sense.

Greedy machinations

Peopleless plots.

Magician’s illusions

Paperwork

No longer

Black and white.

The captain

In his infinite

Greed and lust

Became bigger

Than the ship,

Naturally capsized.

The crew

Scrambled

Helpless and dumb

Against hurricanes

And tidal waves

Of dollars.

Corporate crash

Capsized ship

Poor, poor

Rich captain.

Poor, poor

Helpless

Crew.

Green bills float

Up against the

 Sides of the dead boat.

We repeat:

Avoid at all

Costs, getting

Anywhere

Near these

Ships until

Virus or agent

Is isolated and

Contained.

This has been
