Nails are only a penny a pound
a mallet a few bucks more
together they can build
walls in which things can be stored.
But the nails I remember
holds memories of pain,
of a world filled with sinners
who watched without shame.
The nails have since rusted
and perished from there form,
but the scars the left
embe dded markings of reform.
So when you hit the nail on the head
remember the price that we paid,
remember the one who silently bled
and that one day the price we shall repay.

Hi Tracey, I thought it started out great, then petered out a bit.
Nails are only a penny a pound,
A mallet be but a few bucks more,
What memories; be there so found,
In the wooden boxes of that store.
I liked it, did not care for the picture much, but reality seldom has a pretty face.

I've driven so many nails and left them in his side. No excuse. And it is awful that I have. I feel so sorry. Bill Murray

I try never to forget, I remembered this while stuck in line at Toys "ER" Us, and feelings less than the kindness I had felt were replaced by the urge to drive a few nails myself came over me.
Our culture has taught us to believe in many ideas which aren't actually real. Exposing these illusions allows us to recover the power to live our lives according to our deepest desires.
