Poem Artwork

Silence erupt
Between locked eyes
Swirling inside of the element of surprise
Reflections clear………
Surrounding fades inside of blown minds
Unable to communicate
Reason
There was music and laughter I suppose
(not from my bosom though)
I gave-up the search
Took leave of the game
In his eyes I saw the same
We were there for there sake
And silence erupted in mass volumes
And his eyes matched my heart and mind
Tired
I residing on the dark side of the moon
He shot the sun
Holding it over the far side of June
Eyes locked
“Do I know you?”
“Like you know yourself”
And I can’t help but think of the past
Edged in my heart
Like a dagger if removed my life
I’d lose
And there’s no such thing as silent heroes
Are they?
Silence erupt
Causing one-liners to fall into the air
And burst into nothings
The element of surprise slowly drop-off
Turning mirrors into shadows
As I leave my reflection
Behind

*see I sit under shades
of storms
Serpents make~up the pave way
nothing adorn but skin over bone
and one-day I’ll be nothing but dust

Extremely intriguing picture to go with your poem. SOUL-MATE is breath taking from beginning to end. Powerful imagery and wisdom. The last line is terrific:

The element of surprise slowly drop-off
Turning mirrors into shadows
As I leave my reflection
Behind

Love it!

The intricacies of intimacies pursued, imagined, and abandoned writhe through this poem like the "serpents [that]make up the pave way." A mesmerizing heart-scorching read.

In a way, this reminds me of the message in Simon and Garfunkel's "The Sound Of Silence." Nicely done, Mitzi. Love and peace. Regis

some wise dude said women either wound or get wounded. What a thing to say. We are here for celebration and exercising the critical spirit can deepen our pleasure in each other's company. Enough of the high-toned sentiments then, she just couldn't stand the guy! Excusey, Mitzi, a sort of review from you know who! k

quite a touching piece Mitzi. Kind of reminded me of going to family affairs I wasn't really into. Anyway, love that fun note you left, "cruising in a 300m." I love those 300m's, thinking about jumping into one but don't want the payments. Anyway I was standing in the yard one day and a friend of mine pulled up in a White on gray 300m the big Magnum. Man was it cool. Then my neighbors went out and bought one, a pretty dark gray. I'm teased to death but I'm going to stay strong and enjoy having no car payments. G
