The kitty and the pup were sporting in the yard

With a whole lot of playful zeal.

They were rolling running chasing tails all in fun

When things started to get unreal.

A quite slow moving turtle came into their sight

The twosome charged to their prey.

The turtle came to a stop and shut up his shop

The head, feet and tail went away.

The kitty and the pup were totally amazed

They pawed and they clawed at the shell.

They then chased a butterfly up into the sky

The turtle left when all was well.
