Tai Chi on the beach .
As I gently reach .
My hands to the sky ,
I see with my eye ,
A resting sea gull .
Beside a rock pool .
Waves on the ocean
In gentle motion ,
I gaze at the sea
not specifically
at America
but Utopia .
Or that direction .
Then in reflection,
I’m moved to a prayer
In thanksgiving there .
I bless the beauty ,
Of the world I see .
This presence ,God’s grace
Like light on my face ,
It enlightens me .
Performing Tai chi.
I escape the noise .
The city employs .
Silence from the crowds ,
Sunshine in the clouds .
With joined hands I reach
Silence within speech .
So in relation
To God’s creation
It is beautiful
I am so grateful .
