Down At The Crossroads -

I laid my life down at the crossroads ,
it seems such a long long time ago .
When the light that I followed
on the roads that I borrowed
took me where I never dreamed I’d go .
But its so hard to walk away
from everything that you know
but when life takes you down to the crossroads
you will answer yes or no .
I returned from the corners of the world
and seen some things I never saw before ,
in every foreign country ,
the homeless and the hungry ,
find a way to knock upon the door .
But its so hard to walk away
from everything that you know
but when life takes you down to the crossroads
you will answer yes or no .
If you’ve never been down to the crossroads
to where life may lead you some day ,
it might help when you get there
to lay down and surrender
and pray hard that you will find your way .
