I Was Wrong

Hey baby
Come sit down a minute
Before you go out that door
Yeah, I know you’re in a hurry
I’ve seen your back before
But you might want to listen
Save yourself some grief
If you hear what I have to say
Then go on and leave
Remember what I told you
A long time ago
How I would always love you
and you would always know
That I would stay thru heaven and hell
always be here to pick you up
No matter how far you fell
I said there was nothing you could do
To make me say goodbye
As long as I laughed a little more
Than you made me cry
I said you could spend a lot of time
Running with your crew
It wasn’t as if I couldn’t find
Something else to do
Remember I once told you it was enough
To hear our favorite song
But before you leave, honey
I’m telling you...I was wrong

Seems you left one time to many
Stayed an hour too long
I guess I got tired of hearing
That same tired old song
But one thing I told you honey
Really turned out so true
While you were out running
I found something else to do….

so go on do it again
walk on out that door
just don't come back this time

I don't love you anymore
