He laughed and brushed the hair back from my face
You’re so silly, he said, no one could be as vain as that
There is a wonderful mind inside that head
You just like to pretend it isn’t there
I looked into the face of this man I was starting to love
And hoped he would never learn the truth
That there is no wonderful mind, no deep commitments
No ingrained beliefs and deep seated dreams
There is only black hair and blue eyes
Lips a little too wide, hips a little too narrow
Pretty smiles and sexy kisses
Sure there is passion, because I’m a hedonist
And passion is pleasure, and I do pleasure well
But thoughts, commitments, beliefs
Those are for real people, real women
Not Barbie dolls with too many shoes
And not enough sense, not for little girls
Who never grew up and grown women who were never young
We satisfy ourselves with dry martinis and wet sex
We parrot words we know sound right
And pretend we aren’t plastic and hollow inside
A wonderful mind indeed…maybe it’ll take him
Just a little while to see the truth
And I can have him look at me like this
Just a little bit longer….maybe

Hi Sue,
I will argue with you about your mind. I have seen many examples of how fine a mind you do have!
I was thinking deeply about it! I think you know your worth is considerable. Gregg
Beautiful write, Sue! Awesome. Thank you for your kind review on mine tonite. I didn't know I could write erotic ethier, but found it a nice change and fun to write. Your poems are always excellent.
Sue, your writes are always so creative and well written. I love your style and the way you continuously write deeply without ever becoming monotonous.

Hey whats wrong with plastic dolls some of my best friends were plastic. well that was until the great Melt of 69
of course i wouldn't Robert, I am intensely vain and hedonistic LOL
i admit i am a bit less shallow than a barbie doll.....but the Amazing Allie doll is another story completely!
I met Jerome on a busy city street in Baltimore, Maryland, when he was forty-five years old. On that particular day, I was out and about, enjoying a much-needed day off from work.
I wanted to purchase a sukiyaki sub. I parked my car in an area of
Eight e-books regarding Pathological Narcissism, relationships with abusive
narcissists and psychopaths, and the Narcissistic Personality Disorder (NPD).
