I walk down the silent
Monochromic streets of our city
Remembering how exciting they were
When you were here
Vibrant colors blending harmonically
Into one another
Creating a painting as vivid
As our emotions had once been
Sounds…children playing, men working
Women talking, car horns bleating
Dogs barking at
neighborhood cats created
A symphony, playing in the background
Of our enchantment
Without you… the colors fade
The sounds wane
Tears on my cheeks run to shades of grey
I wipe them away with a bloodless
Hand
shrug my
Colorless shoulders
Already starting to forget

Sue, a sad and lonely write, but you did this so well. Great images here.
