This is what I thought, think, and will always feel about my City Detroit, whose mass production put the world on wheels. Nest it its two wonderful museums. Its the melting put of the world!

Everyone speaks of their city,
how sky scrappers kiss the sky,
so marvelous they bend in the wind,
splendid like mountains on high.
Though congested mainly with cars,
each minute quickly reproduced,
that's how assembly lines are!
There is no exchange in the world,
for its marble building plush hotels,
foundation of knowledge center,
art exhibits what a portrayal,
once visited who can foretell?
So very many suburbanites,
flourish and profit from this city,
plush home fancy raiment,
in a city that has no pity?
Here you can make big money,
factories the blooming source,
a few months' time you can enjoy,
the atmosphere on a Floridian resort!
At times it's a killer though,
sorry to say this brother,
depression makes one act,
not acknowledging their mother!
Just a little straightening out,
we must alter this situation,
caress instead of hurting,
eliminate hardships starvation!
Cast not your faith to the wind,
throw out the things that could have been.
Open up your eyes and see,
things other than robbery.
Admit there is crime everywhere,
you hear kids joy filling the air.
Museums and plentiful parks,
enhancing romancing the heart.
People from all walks of life,
from the poor to the affluent,
outcast, to the re known,
oh please don't forget the clown!
Canada just minutes away,
I'm contented it's here I say.
Clanking, clamor, smoke, and smog,
yes I love it I want it all!
Lost women those of respect I implore,
open up your eyes visualize more.
It has been said this city is dead!
I say look deep in your heart,
please give your mind a new start.
Now truly witness and see,
what's marvelous and spectacular,
as incomparable and lovely,
just as beautiful as can be!
Then only people you will know,
what Detroit City means to me!

Michael,
Beautiful tribute to your town! I feel the same about my town, thou mine isn't nearly as populated as yours. I don't have skyscrapers, I live in a small town but I enjoy it. We are known for our churches, we have many, many churches in my little town. I so much enjoyed your tribute. Peace an love to you!

Blessings+
~Linda
