Ernie had a heart pure as gold. A loving, unselfish, giving, family man. He wasn't good at what he did, he was Great a what he Did! Baseball will miss him and we will continue to love, honor, ans miss Ernie Harwell also.

What could you say about Ernie,
except God brought him home to rest,
announcing was his playground,
Detroit Tigers knew him best!
Tiger Stadium really was his home,
Comerica Park knew him to,
Ernie announced baseball like a movie,
and he thrilled us through and through!
Honor and integrity his vesture,
his smile would brighten our day,
even when it rained om the Ballpark,
he always had something kind to say.
A beautiful soul humble pride,
he would give money to the homeless,
and help them stand up and feel alive!
Ernie and his wife an example of love,
the kind of love God ordained above!
A dedicated father family man,
I can't wasn't an option only that you can
It is beautiful to know when we fall,
God dresses us with grace for heavens call
What more can you day about Ernie,
he is a man for all seasons,
gave us his heart and baseball,
and we love him for that reasosn!
