The greatest entertainer ever!
Michael Jackson, the King of Pop legacy lives on!
Happy birthday Michael Jackson!
Brother you are not alone,
Jive talking, rapping, moon-walking.
around God's holy throne!
The man, the music, your magic,
doing what you do best.
I love you brother Michael,
you legacy past the test!
Your music is poetry and dance-
fused together with romance.
We're still missing you,
with tearful eyes,
even the hardest of men,
and the strongest of men cry!
We are not alone that's what,
your lyrics and music say.
we miss you Michael every day!
Your loving heart and philanthropy,
all that beauty that was in you,
I hope some rubbed off on me!
Mr. Jackson King of Pop,
the world still goes on and on,
never fully appreciated your rock!
You rolled us rhythm and blues us,
and showed us how to love!
Videos great highest in the land,
brought joy to a child,
they would smile and clap their hands.
Thank for your time with us,
We are still trying to change the world,
many people try to imitate you,
but there is only one, it's you Michael!
The man, the music, your magic.
Thank you brother for blessing our world
You made our world a better place,
because of you I am a better man.
I thank God and you for that!
I quote Lyrics form Michael's song,
HEAL THE WORLD;
Heal the world make it a better place,
for you and me and the whole human race!
His gifts were great. His music had messages we will never forget and melodies that forced one to dance and to dance like him, although we never could. He brought people together with so many songs and revealed the best in us.
I still have a novel that I promised the author I would edit about 1999 and stopped because it was too difficult for me at the time. The title of the book was Jacko's Gift. Of course, Jacko, was the derogatory nickname for Michael Jackson who had, through medicine, lived in science fiction until 2100.
Each decade of the 21st century Michael gave a gift to humankind. Unfortunately, I read only until about the second gift before I stopped reading and editing. Upon reading your poem, perhaps it's time that I give that author a break and take a look at that book again.
I just did a search and the book is nowhere on the Internet so it never was published.
Wow! I just listened to a tribute to Michael on the radio. Nothing today can top "Billy Jean" or "Thriller" songs. He was a incredible entertainer. My wife is a nurse and knows one of the doctors very close to the Jackson family. He says Michael was improperly harassed by the news tabloids and was wrongly accused of many things. We can see that continue to happen today with political families. Still, all the "lies to put front page news" in the past does not change his claim to fame. He will always be one of the best, most original and dynamic entertainers that ever "Moon walked" on this planet! Amen!
I may be an old hippie but I still loved Michael's music and his shows and dancing...I would hope he is sharing the heavenly stage with the likes of John Lennon, Jimi Hendrix, Stevie Ray Vaughn, Jani Joplin and so many others we have lost and remember with a tear...-e-
When I wrote ths book in 2000, I was concerned about children having access to the Internet and to chat rooms where "you can be anyone you want." Here we are many years later and the situation with children talking freely to stangers on the Internet
