The sun rises,
darkness fades to the rear,
Springs here birds appear.
life is abundant!
A cardinal, blue-jay, and sparrows,
chatter, chirp with songs,
basking in the morning sun.
A brown squirrel scurries,
up the catalpa tree.
Roses early morning fragrances,
fill the air with comfort,
as light meet day on the horizon!
Such a beautiful nature poem, Michael. I'm enjoying the birds so much this Spring. Beyond the usual birds, being at the beach, we have seabirds also and duck and geese and swans who swim on the many lakes and ponds. Your poem was a joy to read.
