not worth summarizing? ;).............zzz......

Shallow Don’ Pay,  Why is There an Enquirer?

Look.  I was born this way.  Came out baulin’ ‘bout my outfit!
{SHE’s into fashion – whe-ah designers come from, dah-link!}
Survival Tip,  Throw yourself on the floor an’ have a sh_fit
if your hair decides it will not go out without a cowlick.

Remember what Blue Eyes said:  What gets you through.
Ain’ no one I know don’ got the blues.  But, hey!
K-Mart is havin’ a  blue-light special.  Shoes, an’ all!
Know things’ll look up if you have the Look of Today!

February down Carolin’ way is gray on top o’gray.
Solution:  Toss out the bleach and go brunette.
HAVE  t’buy  new  lipstick and foundation, natch.
OH, and Family Dollar has the coolest barrette.

World fallin’ apart?   Baddies threatenin’ t’nuke?.
Grass ain’ as green?  Air and water look  weird?
Doll yourself up, grab a partner, go rock to a  juke
In a dive where everyone’s got a beard.

See a cootie, wave and invite it over.
More the merrier in Fantasy Land.
Hell, you might find a four-leaf-clover.
Free ticket to a concert with a decent damn band.

Shallow don’ have t’cost t’my way of thinkin’.
Once rinsed my hair with grape juice.
Looked pd good,  I swear.
Only trouble was, bugs liked it, too.

Listen, I’m not tryin’ to be the boss of you.
Be as uptight as you want. In-tell-i-gent, okaaay?.
Just thought I’d give ya a clue 'r two
Between rests with the Puzzle of the Day.

Too busy to lay Power Plays,  I am, I yam.
Netflix has a new thrill on the way.
Gotta try out that new sparkly shadow.
Hug on m’dogs, so y’all go on.   G’way!

Brilliant write of
Malicious gossip like the one you read in the Enquire
Which brings in a lot of profit!!
Very true Images of life in the real world
We live in!!
Love Peace and Joy to you always...Morning Star ( Yolie )

Good one and so many little snapshots of the real world that it makes one smile at the similarities in our own lives.

My mom always told me that I was born stomping my foot as I sometimes continue today. She told me that I was born with a temper and stubborness that made me who I am today. You see I refused to be born when the doctors said I should, I was four weeks late and born butt first! I've always done my own thing, and didn't follow the crowd, when others dress up, I am often dressed down, when they are cutting their hair in modern updated styles, you'll find me with my hair long and flowing. While they are all clammering after the hottest author's newest release, I am glad to read the classics...such as Gone With the Wind, or Emily Dickenson, when they change their homes to match the newest style, I am happy with my odd and end antiques that match my personality. You see all these things make up who I am! You've inspired me with this one my friend! Enjoyed!
Blessings,
Joyce B.

Totally brilliant satire! Scandal and sensationalism doesn't pay in terms of the larger picture but the Enquirer rakes in big bucks. It seems the cheaper and more mindless the thrill the more eagerly some folks gobble it up. Priceless line: "Once rinsed my hair with grape juice."
