Poem Artwork

             Stop Counting!

Not so much afraid of bears
'n' things that go bump day and night;
what scares me far more is the fear
of me, lumps and all, in plain sight.

So many warts, so many red faces..
So many ifs, ands, buts, and ors.
I grew up in an age when one erased,

then hid the holey paper in a drawer.

Everyone has a skeleton or three.
I understand.    I do..
But how many have as many as me?
How many rattle, yet stick like glue?

Few mistakes?  You kidding me?
I have made beaucoups, beaucoups..
Some kind of record, gotta be.
Work to forget, then turn and stew.

Want a list, I'll send you one.
Only thing, I'll have to kill you.
Going to do better.  Er, uh. some...
Forget I said all that, will you?

You never learn anything if you don't make mistakes. Awesome write. Liz

I agree with everyone here. When we stop because we made a mistake or two or three, then life is not worth the trouble we go through to get dressed each morning. Like Fee I resigned myself years ago, to accept those those things I cannot change, but to change the things I can and the wisdom to know the difference. But a lot of times that wisdom just isn't there, making me wonder, "is this all there is". But in the scheme of things, Pea, we seemingly go on, trudging through the dust and quagmire of our journey through life.

I did not have any positive thoughts until I came to the Den, where everyone has been so supportive. I may have a few skeletons, and I may have made mistakes, and I may not have the perfect life, but with friends like I have here on AD, I can go forward, with my head held high.

This is a wonderful humorous write Pea, but there is a lot of seriousness in here too. Thank you for sharing.

May the Lord Jesus bless you, and those whom you dearly love, and be with you always, and at your side constantly. With much love in my heart, joy to the world, peace on earth, & ((((((((((MANY WONDERFUL SISTERLY HUGGGGSSSS)))))))))), your little sister, Barbie

Gentle self depreciating humor - if we can't laugh at ourselves - this world would be a sad ole place. Sadder. Excellent write, (((Pea))), don't know how I missed this one!

(((HUGS))) and love, Karla.

Mistakes and oops and I didn't do it! I promise. I finally understood that mistakes are part of the gravel road we all are walkinmg on and without God's forgiveness I'm not sure I wouldn't fallen in a deeper pit.

I'm good!!Blessings and love,
Susan
