Rehearshing our cantata and Watching Mary and Joseph at the manger brings tears to my eyes. I feel like I am in Bethlehem

 

MARY & JOSEPH’S BOY
 
Look at me now Lord
I’m trying to be
Your kind of Christian
Oh, can you see?
 
Are you able dear Lord
When you look on my face
Do you see it dear Lord
The change, taken place.
 
I’m trying to walk
The path that you show
You want me to follow
The love to bestow
 
Mary and Joseph
on that special day
They came to a stable
And there on the hay
 
 
For all to see,
She placed that dear boy
There in the manger,
Oh what a joy.
 
On Christmas morn
I’m reminded again
The love that you give
My beautiful Friend.
 
On this special day
You give us great joy
We thank you dear Lord
For your Baby Boy.

Thanks for the reminder ---that the reason for the season is "Jesus." As I read your poem I imagined Mary holding her baby boy! I love your poems!
