Poem Artwork

When you see a velvet rose
Wet with morning dew
Or feel the wind on your face
Know I have not left you
When you look up at the sky
In the crisp night air
And you see a falling star
I will be there

*****************************

No one knows the reason
The angels came for me
Things happen we can't understand
Events we can't foresee
I live always in your heart
I'm just one thought away
I'm the spirit watching over you
When you kneel to pray

******************************

Dry your eyes, my children
Don't let me see you sad
I've left a legacy of memories
In the happy times we've had
Just as you can't stop a butterfly
On a flight all its own
You can't stop a Mother's love
Just because I'm gone

I could hear my mother's voice reading this to me, just as the week before her passing I read my poetry to her.
One thing I do know about angels...
This was written by one.

"Remember Me..."

A well constructed and powerful write and read!
I am elated to have found these beautiful words. Every stanza just took my breath away...
Surely it was a blessing to have composed, loved it!

Sincerely,
From the Heart of an Artist Quiet Storm
