In Batavia, Ohio on a quiet Wednesday afternoon a jury convicted Liz Carroll, a foster mother, with murder of her 3 year old developmentally disabled foster son. While her and her husband David Carroll, Jr. took a trip to a family reunion they had bound Marcus cocoon like in a blanket and packing tape and left him in a closet. When the couple came back from Kentucky 2 day's later they found the child had died. When they found Marcus, the father burned the body and dumped the remains in the Ohio River. The couple told policeman he had wandered off and been snatched in a park. When questioned the Carroll's live-in companion Amy Baker told authorities how the boy had died. She said the Carroll's had put Marcus in the closet before when they had errands to run. David Carroll will be tried in March on the same charges as his wife along with gross abuse of a corpse. Marcus this for you...

Through the darkness you came
Straight to Jesus's arms
No more tears, no more pain
You will be kept from harm
Lifted up by an angel
No one can hurt you anymore
The angels all sing for you
As you come to Heaven's door

All the pain you went through
Will be all washed away
Nothing but sunshine here
For you to run and play
Angels to watch over you
Jesus takes away your fears
With a gentle hand He reaches out
And wipes away your tears...

Please help me be the voice to all these little ones who cannot speak for themselves. Oh, how this story touched my heart. I think of all the feelings he felt while he lay in that dark closet for so long. Jesus took him out. Jesus took his tiny hand and took him to a beautiful place called Heaven where no one can hurt him anymore. God be with you always, Marcus. God be with all of you.

My heart goes out to this boy, and to all the innocent life's taken through someone's callous actions. Your in Jesus arms now, lifted up to walk with Moses and Michael forever more.

Dear Linda, this is one of the saddest stories I've heard lately. But I've heard so many it's heartbreaking. It's always the children that suffer, and we need to be their voice. You have a heart of gold my dear. I believe this wee boy is with our Heavenly Father, and out of his misery. God Bless you Linda, love Holly

Your poem made me cry, Linda. Can't comprehend people acting like this. How the world needs God!
Like the millions of aborted children, little Marcus is finally safe and happy.
Your poem is beautiful, full of compassion and the healing wonder of God's love as He welcomes a child to heaven.

Linda,

It's so sad how people can treat each other like that especially a defenseless child. My prayers are with the poor little guy.

Your human and in this case inhuman real life stories always touch the heart and soul Linda by opening the eyes and hearts of the readers. Perhaps you should send this out for publication so more eyes and hearts can be touched by your message.

This is so sad, I hate to hear stories like this, it hurts enough, when you loose someone due to natual causes, as I just did, but a child who is murdered, that is disgusting and unthinkable. I will certainly join you in being a voice.
God Bless
Michelle~

A blessed little angel. He lives in God's house now, at peace, at play and unhurt. Just three short years and he was exposed to all the evils, why?
Be safe,
Karen

Little Marcus's spirit dances with your tribute, Linda...you have penned a horrible story, one I wish all too often could be fictional...
This evilness goes beyond our means of comprehension, leaving us to believe that these horrible souls must possess something we will never be able to understand!
Poor little guy...for all we know...those two days in that closet might have been the best two days he ever lived before God called him home???
Love and Peace~

This is so sad my friend! You've penned a beautiful tribute for this angel! I don't understand the sickness of any human heart that could perform such a dreadful and devilish act! We had a similar incident here in Kentucky, only the step mother picked the child up from school, strangled him and dumped his body in a land fill, and then proceeded to burn what she thought was a corpse, only the eight year old was still alive when she set him on fire...she is still in prison, where hopefully she will live out her days in misery! This world has become a sick and evil place where many children have fallen prey to such wickedness, makes me sick and brings grief to my heart. The only peace and comfort one has, is knowing that these children who suffered at the hands of brutal beasts who are supposed to be human are now resting with Jesus! Can't imagine just how many children are in and continue to fill and line the streets of heaven! Staggering! Again, you've pnned a wonderful tribute my dear friend!
Blessings,
Joyce Bowling
