This is a repost, but it's one of my favorites. I am reposting it hoping that someone out there will read this and get the help they need. I cannot shout it loud enough or often enough ...Tell Someone NOW

Poem Artwork

I cry for the little girl
Bruised and alone
Her mama hits her every day
And her Daddy's gone
Look at my grave
My soul screams from within
Tell someone NOW
Don't pay for their sin

I cry for the little boy
Who's hungry and cold
No blanket on his bed
Just a teddy bear to hold
Look at my grave
I was just like you
Tell someone NOW
You know what to do

I cry for the children
Beaten and abused
Haven't you had enough
Of being hit and used
Look at my grave
See my tortured face
Tell someone NOW
You could be in my place

Talk to a teacher
Or to a trusted friend
Stop the abuse right now
Let the hurting end
Look at my grave
I hid my bruises well
I promised in my heart
I would never tell

I hid in the darkness
Afraid of the light
Don't be like me
Stand up and fight
Tell someone NOW
You have a life to give
It's too late for me
But I want you to live

This is an awareness creation campaign for those in abusive living conditions. It is sad reality and your voice is loud enough to be heard by many of us. Thank you Linda.

As barbaric as it could seems, those abusing the little ones should get their hands cut off.
Yes, tell someone now...before we need the knives.

As powerful a message now as it was the first time I read it and one very worth repeating as many times as needed to drive home to those in the dark that there is light and hope out there for them.

Your poem is certainly a desperate appeal for a situation that statistics indicate occur far too frequently. Even as I write this minute, some child suffers and is in need of help. Well written and worthy of attention on behalf of abused children.
