Once a day, every day, all day long.
Kids suffer, "no, please stop, NOW! It's wrong."
"Why," ask I, "DUH, why indeed!"
'Cause hurting our children is NOT what they they need.

Abuse's happening, often, you see.
It happens to many,
Though, God forbid,  it's happened to me.
More often than not,  
The credit goes to childhood memories.

Effects of these crimes, twist lives, seems mad,
Going so deep, makes abuser really bad.
Next offspring comes,  cycle renews, once more,
Oh, please, stop NOW, NO MORE!
All ages are affected, some three, maybe less.

With coming of age, misery abounds,
Abused kids become abusers,
Victims become horrid, lest help can be found.
Adolescence's a nightmare,
To teens, inadequacies seems sound.

At times, not always, abused teens become parents,
Here it comes, once again.
Viciousness, like sargeant's in barracks
Pushing turns to hitting,
Ironic, one may think, but beatings, become patterns.

"Please, help me," is their plea, Our answer must affirm,
The faith we've been blessed with,
Christ Jesus, stay near Lord, help us, they'll learn!

Years later, we ask of God, "Where's my family gone?"
"Do they really hate me so?"
'Member back, see results abuse has wrought, on daughters, on sons.
