I am a dreamer
I enjoy being alone
Looking back on my life
Where have all the years gone

I love sunsets and sunrises
Hummingbirds in flight
The sound of rain falling
On a tin roof at night

I love a hot cup of coffee
Roses wet with morning dew
I love to talk to my Lord
While the day is still brand new

I love the smiles of grandchildren
Hearing them laugh and play
Giving hugs and kisses
At the end of the day

I pray for my fellowman
Such compassion I feel
For the hurting and sick
I want them to heal

For all the abused babies
My heart for them cries
With every blow to these little ones
A part of me dies

I feel for the homeless
No place to lay their head
No shelter from the cold
Just a cardboard box instead

All of this is who I am
I struggle just like you
I have troubles and dissapointments
I wonder what to do

I try to walk beside my Jesus
To be worthy every day
To be humble in His presence
When I close my eyes and pray

I try to live my life
With faith, respect and love
And thank God for my blessings
He sends from above
