Poem Artwork

I wasn't ready to die
Too many things left to do
Letters went unwritten
Praises long overdue
So many things I had put off
To do another day
Lord,  how can this be
Is it too late to pray

I wasn't ready to die
So much left undone
No final word to my daughter
No goodbye's to my son
No time to make things right
Or take back words I said
No way to make amends
For all the tears shed

I wasn't ready to die
How could I have known
That in one final moment
My life would be gone
A million things left undone
No way to change my fate
Live your life to the fullest
Before it is too late...

My dearest sister Linda: The future is now, today is before us, and yesterday we can not change. All we have is this moment to do right and be a blessing to others. Jesus said I quote ' Let your light shine before men so they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven '. This is a magnificent piece of poetry never stop blessing Us! Peace!!!

Linda the message in this is simple but oh so wise. Cutting to the chase, finding what's real, eliminating (if at all possible) the superfluous, embracing others with love, and finding our gifts and nurturing them so we may bless others. Brava!

Linda such true words as I tell my children daily, leave this world with NO regrets. A great write to make one realize they have to do what can be done TODAY not tomorrow as we all know tomorrow never comes.
