I've heard people say
God don't perform miracles anymore
That He don't care for us
Like He did before
When I awoke this morning
I was able to get out of bed
I had a mind to give thanks
Plan my day ahead
So many didn't wake up
Tomorrow is no guarantee
If God opened your eyes this morning
Thats a miracle to me

<><><><><><><><><><><><><><>

When I look out my window
I thank God for my sight
There are many who cannot see
A world with no glimmer of light
I thank Him for each footstep
For that means I can walk
I can breathe, I can laugh
God gives me the ability to talk
Some have their eyes wide open
And still they don't see
That all these things we take for granted
Are all miracles to me

<><><><><><><><><><><><><><><

There are many in hospitals
Who have to be tube fed
They lay there day after day
They can't get out of bed
God's given me the strength
To eat the foods I love
To have a roof over my head
Is a blessing from above
I don't take anything for granted
A flower, a sunset, a tree
All these things God freely gives us
Are all miracles to me

What a beautifully and eloquently written poem. His miracles indeed are everywhere! Like the blessings he gives us everyday, we need only open our eyes and our hearts to receive them. Thank you for this gift.

What a beautiful write and so very profound and true my friend, yes...we are blessed with the miracle of life everyday, loving families, the sight to see all the beauty around us, a mind to choose where we would like to travel to, and a mouth to speak as we please and testify for Him. You've said it well my friend. I must say that I am a true believer in both large and small miracles for I have seen both, my daughter is a living witness as she was given a brand new bone at the tender age of five, one that the doctors saw no hope for as it had deteriorated away to almost nothing and He chose to give her a new bone that still amazes the doctors today. Yes, He is still on the throne and still performing both healing miracles and daily miracles that all too many seem to take for granted. A great reminder, enjoyed this very much. Hope all is well.
Blessings from Ky.

Linda this has to be one of the most beautiful poems I have ever read. There are not enough words that can describe the love and emotion it makes me feel. We should all take heed to the miracles around us each and every day. May God bless you every day of your life.

I am so glad I woke up this morning (EARLY this morning; burning the midnight oil! LOL); I am sick, but I am alive! (Have a bad cold; got it Thanksgiving Day. Feeling a little better, but still pretty congested and stuffed! LOL) Well done, Linda; thanks for the reminder!

(((HUGS))) and much love, your friend in Tx., Karen Lynn. :D
