See the child in the street..crying and alone?
He's lost and needs someone to take him home.
See the tears in his eyes..does anyone care?
Take his little hand ~ let him know you are there.
I hear the baby cryin - he lives next door ~
Do I turn a deaf ear as I always have before?
His Daddy hits him and God, he's only two.
There must be something that I can do!
She's sitting in a wheelchair..she cannot walk~
She looks up at me, but she cannot talk.
A little girl of seven...pigtails in her hair ~
I reach for her hand ~ let her know I care.
In a hospital room a mile across town ~
A tiny baby lies not making a sound.
Born too soon ~ he's fighting the best he can ~
Daddy sits in the dark...holding his tiny hand.
A Mommy rocks her little girl..her fevers 102 ~
She panics inside, not knowing what to do.
A neighbor stops by with food and a gentle smile~
To relieve the Mother ~ take over for awhile.
Look around you ..there are angels all around ~
When ever you see one love can be found.
Have compassion ...and please try to understand~
A child can be blessed with the touch of a hand.
