Daddy, are you getting ready for work today?
Daddy, if I asked you would you please stay?
I am just a baby - if only I could talk to you-
Mommy just don't love me Daddy like you do.
Sometimes Mommy hits me - when I cry.
There are times I think she wished I would die.
Please don't go Daddy, Please stay with me-
You are at work so you just don't see!
When you asked about my bruises she finds a way-
To make you think I hurt myself when I play.
Daddy , she hurts me - shakes me and screams-
Sometimes I can even hear her in my dreams.
Daddy, how can I make you to please understand-
I fear for my life - Please stay if you can!
You think Mommy loves me - she puts on a show-
But you ought to see her Daddy the minute you go.
Why does she hate me , Daddy..what did I do?
Why can't she hug me Daddy..be more like you?
Oh please don't go Daddy - call in sick today-
She scares me so , Daddy- don't go away.
Sometimes she don't feed me - I get so hungry-
She don't care Daddy - she just don't love me.
The day's get so long when you are not here-
My small little body trembles in fear.
A baby can't defend himself from a grownups hand-
The pain and the fear is more than I can stand.
Daddy, I see you getting on your coat and tie-
Oh , if you could only hear me- I don't want to die!
Mommy is so mean to me - PLEASE don't go-
She hides it from you - she don't want you to know.
There's no one to help me Daddy..no one at all!
One day she threw me and I hit the wall!
You're looking for your car keys'..PLEASE don't go!
What will happen to me? I'm afraid to know!
Daddy, I beg you ...I can't take this anymore-
I cry as I hear the slamming of the door........
That made me cry. I do some work in the UK for the NSPCC (The National Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Children), my uncle was an inspector. I adore my "kids" although they're all grown up now, they're still my babies. Read my poems "My Son" and "My daughter"they reflect how I feel. It's a love so deep you can't explain it. How can people treat kids like that.
Take car and God bless you

This was a very sad and touching poem. NOBODY should ever have to go through
abuse. Abuse is wrong. GOD BLESS YOU, LINDA!!!!!
Amazingly strong words on such a dreadfull subject, some folks are not capable of looking after a doll, well done with this Linda, you've touched many with your honesty and warm heart, take care of you and yours..Mark xx
Linda, this is just as sorrowful to read this time as it was the first time I read it. These children should not have to endure the pains of life they are dealing with. Being a child should not hurt. Thanks for sharing,,,Lisa
>tears < what a sad write, linda! child abuse shouldn't happen AT all, especially to a defenseless little one who can't speak up for herself (or himself) and can't defend themselves from the abuse! a heartwrenching write!!! love, your friend, karen lynn. >more tears < and (((((HUGS)))))

As a parent myself, It’s impossible to understand how anyone could do such things to a child, but angered to know they do. Painful to read and I’m sure it must
have much more been painful to write.

This what a baby would say OK....
I heard today of a Mom biting her
8 mouth old baby's finger off. Will it ever
end?
Keep up the great work Linda...
My own two kids lived with an abusive mother who had a mental problems. She abused them for years. I finally got care of my son but crazy as it was the court left custudy with her and our daughter as well..
It was about a year later that my daughter returned. But by then she was changed. She has since run away and lives in a Youth Refuge refusing any parental control over her life.
The mother now takes medicine and has made bridges to the kids but I will never completely forgive her for the pain and suiffering she did to our family.
I pwersonally hate and detest femenists as they were the worse influence on our family and through all the pain and suffering had nothing to offer but misguided abuse towards me.
Sorry, I rambled abit. Well written...

Dearest Linda, this is so painful to read.
This must happen a lot in society, but we
seldom are aware of it. Your heart I know
goes out to the children who suffer these
indignities in their early years. Some
carry these very harmful experiences into
their later days. Some never realize why
they feel anxiety. Or have a conscious
awareness of what happened to them without
therapeutic analysis. You always hit the
mark in your writings. Always astute and
learned in your opinons. But most of all
you have that special empathic touch. The
special touch you give all your postings.
You have such a tender, caring heart. I am
so fortunate to be your number one
supporter. I am always here for you when
you need me. Just whistle. Bill cares for
you. Hugs xoxo
P.S I am also thankful you are the one
person that I NEVER have to ask to comment
on my work. I anxiously look for your
comments and am so happy they are there
cause I know you think of me and would never
miss commenting on my work. Thanks for
being such a loyal friend and not ignoring
my poetry and songs.
This second book in Edie's 'Puddle' series is filled with wonderful catchy rhyming poems that have positive nostalgic messages. Her whimsical illustrations carry the poems along on ripples of warm vibrant colours.
All About how Lila chooses how to handle her "worries" about the first day of school. Another Mom's Choice Award Seal of Excellence recipient in the "Kids with Worries" book series.
