Ashley and Joshua's rays of light
Telling you we are allright.
We are in Jesus's care
Alot of our friends are there.
Say a prayer and look above
Through these rays we send pure love.
Ashley and Joshua's rays of light
Such a miracle ....a lovely sight.
We have no answers ..God has his plan
It's not up to us to understand.
Zack is waiting to play , you see
He's happy here with Joshua and me.
Ashley and Joshua's rays of light
Beaming down , sparkling bright.
To tell you we are happy here
There's no pain..not even a tear.
Dry your eyes ... look at the sky
We send these beams to say goodbye.
This is in memory of Ashley Gleesen ...five yrs old...and her brother Joshua Gleesen...3 yrs old.. They were both kidnapped from their Mother by their Father. They were found in the Des Plaines River in Illinois shot twice in the head. They were thrown from from the Interstate 55 bridge.. On the way to their funeral Zack's grandmother Beth and her daughter had to pass that bridge. The sky opened and two beautiful rays of light appeared at that moment. It was a miracle from God....I firmly believe that. Zacks Grandmother Beth called me today. It made me feel so close to Zack to hear her voice after all this time. Thank you Beth, for calling. You are a dear friend. To those of you who haven't read my tributes to Zack and Joshua and Ashley , please do. You will better understand this write.

Beth Boyer, Zack's grandmother sends her THANKS to all of AD who wrote comments with tears and love for her precious Grandson Zack. She thanks you for your prayers and concern. Zack Hostad lost his battle to cancer . 11-28-99 to 10/20/02. He was the bravest child I have ever known.

I have read this poem many times, but just today, I realized I had never commented on it. I thank you for conveying the words of my feelings on that day. It was as if you were right beside me when Becky and I say the two rays of light on that cloudy day. Especially as we crossed where Ashley and Joshua's bodies were found. My hair still stands on end, when I picture that site. There is no doubt in my mind, that they were letting us know they were ok and in God's loving hands. To this day, the father is denying that he had anything to do with their VICIOUS murders. But I have no doubt he killed them. I just hope the courts see it that way too.
Also, thank you for including my words to you as to my feelings at the time. And for the beautiful tributes to my courageous little man Zack. I know my grandson touched so many lives and was so loved, especially here at AD.
