Hiding Can't go to bed Monsters In my closet Ready to beat me Hurt me Make me bleed Monsters With grotesque Faces Ready to pounce Making me feel Small Stupid Hiding Building a wall Around my heart Where monsters Can't enter Where they can Beat me But I won't scream Or cry Motionless against Pain My heart will be Stone Void of feeling Hiding Monsters in my closet Ready to Devour Rob me of life My childhood Ready to leave Me broken And dying I can't go to bed And let Horror engulf me Let the monsters Win Hiding From the monsters in my closet Named Mommy and Daddy..... � Linda Hill 2003

Oh my God!
I know how lucky I have been. Nothing but love.
And now I shower it on my son.
But too many are so unfortunate.
This stabs right in the heart.

A proud father of 4 I find it incomprehensible that any child should fear any adult, let alone a parent. But it's words like yours that remind me that they do.
