Outside Looking In

I'm just feeling a little down today..
I hope you don't mind another repost.
This one reflects my mood this morning.

Poem Artwork

Kid's playing on the sidewalk
Skipping rope
My neighbors across the street
Shooting dope
Teenagers drive by
See how fast they can go
They have Daddy's car
He just don't know
The world's spinning by
As fast as it can
I'm always on the outside looking in

***************************************

There's a party going
On three houses down
Sounds like they invited
The whole town.
I stare out my looking glass
I wipe away a tear
No one to hold my hand
No one to care
I never seem to fit in
I never seem to belong
On the outside looking in
Everything is wrong.

***************************************

Minutes tick away
Hours rush on by
Nothing here but silence
No one hears me cry
Sirens outside blaring
In the cold nite air
People passing by my window
Rushing somewhere
I'm just standing still
While the world moves on
On the outside looking in
Always alone

**************************************

Will I get out of this cage thats smothering me
Will I shatter this glass, will I ever be free

Oh Linda...you mirror my feelings so well always.
I don't know how you do it.
I'll pray so hard for better days to come your way. You deserve them.

This is sad, but an outstanding write, most of my days are spent with me feeling that way. You described it well here.
