Spring Ain't Sprung!

Spring ain't sprung

it's merely hung

inside the atmosphere,

It rains, it snows

the sun does glow

it's gloomy then it's clear.

Twitterpatin' birds go nuts

a'shiverin' with a strut

wishin' they were anywhere

instead of freezin' buttzies off.

Flowers perk their heads up high

knowin' they might get

zapped into the twilight zone

by a friggin' Winter's nip.

One day soon we will find

the cold will surely fade

into the hubs of hell so fine

Summer sweats make skin like brine.

Then we'll wish old Winter man

would bring some snow our way

to soothe the heated brow and skin

like it is on this fine day.

No, Spring ain't sprung

it's merely hung

inside the atmosphere

We're never happy come what may

on any given day

but then, we don't, I'm glad to say

rule Mother Natures way!

Wise thoughts of understanding of Nature's harmony and balance of its creation. A true poemization of emotions of wonders, gratitude and respect for life.

Well we have had some unseasonable warm days but cold weather is once again on its way back in. I find it is the middle of May before we can say that Sring is truly here.

Joyce,

Winter showed up here with barely a gasp. :) Our winter's hung, all right. LOL My dad in the Midwest and my sister in Boston have had their share--they're ready for winter to be OVER!

And now we've got the spring severe weather season to look forward to...NOT my favorite time of year. Summers, too hot. I'm already looking forward to Fall! LOL

An excellent write--filled with humor, this one made me smile. Well done!

(((HUGS))) and love, Karla. :)
