My gosh, it flew right out of sight

I didn't see it go.

Somehow, though, it knocked me wild

In tempest it did blow!

I took a nap 01-06

It really wasn't long

I laid my head down for a while

Then I heard the gong!

"Wake up", it said, "It's New Year's Eve."

Don't sleep your life away

Wake up and see a brand new year

It's knocking at your door.

What happened here, where did it go?

06 has turned the page

To find me wondering where I am

And why I'm in this state!

More wrinkles, flab and gray hair too

It added one more fate

The list grows long, it's getting late

And closer to the gate!

So now, I'm looking toward the sun

It's in the southwest run

Gradually moving every day

To greet the New Year's dawn.

Oh, yes 06 will soon be gone

07 will take its place

And I'll lie down to take a nap

To start another race!
