She and I have shared secrets,

Sunny days and rainbows,

Her first steps, her first tears,

Her first love, and her worst fears.

Though life separated us, I’m never alone,

When I look into my heart, she’s right there.

She is the best she could possibly be,

And she is the very best of me!

Life happens, and our journey has taken us

Far away from each other,

But a beautiful bond is always there,

And I carry it with me everywhere.

A cord that will stretch, but never break,

It is wrapped around my soul for eternity.

Time and distance simply fade away,

Cause she’s in my heart each and every day.
