the language and cauldron of motions are so rich here. i like the relative absence of punctuation; it made me read it several times over but a quick pace as if someone were chasing me. i'm out of breath by poem's end. please forgive this question if i've gotten it wrong but are you saying that though he committed horrendous crimes against you ... that you took hold of his hand in any case, that you loved him and hated him simultaneously ... that you can forgive him but never forget what he did?
You exposed the awful tragedy of a childs sweet love and innocence being stolen, and yet...there is trace of understanding it seems or perhaps a desire to remember what the father was like before he turned into the monster.
