Outside of time
A fall of sorrow
Feeds the river
Of dispair.
Below a bridge
Made of dreams,
There I stand
There I stare.

Hidden in the
Endless thunder,
Chained to stone,
Half-lost in mist,
This sentinel
Still abides
Keeping faith
From the abyss.

When shall I hear
A shadow passing,
Climbing far
From himself,
Bringing fire
To kiss the sky,
Redeeming this
Barren shelf.

Fallen gifts
Long to rise
On winds of promise,
Wings of light.
Come warrior souls
To the hidden country
Refusing claim
Upon the night.

Feels deep and rich, makes me want to be told more, like hearing a secret. I like the smell of it, like soil. Feels honest.
A fall of sorrow
